Who We Are

Adopt a Block Northampton (AABN) is a multi-church partnership working together to serve our neighbors as the hands and feet of Christ. AABN began with a handful of volunteers from Lower Northampton Baptist Church more than a decade ago who began visiting a few residents of Heritage Acres, now Myrtle Landing, with sandwiches. We currently have about 25 regular volunteers from 6 different churches who come together on the 3rd Saturday of each month to meet needs and pray with approximately 133 residents in Myrtle Landing, Bayview, and William Hughes.

Partnerships

We also partner with the Cape Charles Baptist Church furniture ministry, and the Lower Northampton Baptist Church food pantry and others as needs arise. We are a non-profit organization with a board of directors that meet quarterly to see how God could continue to use this ministry.

Workforce Housing

We currently have a subcommittee on housing that is working on developing a community of homes in Northampton County in a price range for our teachers, nurses, and other middle-income workforce that are currently struggling with nowhere to rent and being priced out of purchasing.
